Company set-up

Setting up a company in Japan requires choosing a business structure, like Kabushiki Kaisha (株式会社, similar to Inc.) or Godo Kaisha (合同会社, similar to LLCs). You must register with the Legal Affairs Bureau, open a corporate bank account while ensuring compliance with local regulations and tax obligations.

Streamlined Company Setup Process

With our full-service support, setting up a company in Japan is simple and straightforward. Here’s a step-by-step guide to how it works:

Step 1: Complete the Company Checklist
- Start by filling out a checklist that provides the essential details for your new company. This checklist includes:
- Business name, address, and structure
- Names and roles of directors and shareholders
- Business activities and capital amount
- Other essential information needed for registration
- This is the key information we need to begin the setup process. Once you submit the checklist, you’re ready to move forward.

Step 2: Transfer the Capital
- After you’ve filled out the checklist, you can transfer your capital amount to our designated bank account.
- As your appointed agent, we’ll deposit this capital into a Japanese bank account on your behalf, meeting the legal requirements for company establishment. This allows you to avoid the complexities of opening a local bank account from abroad.

Step 3: Document Preparation and Filing
- After receiving your checklist, we will begin preparing all necessary documents for registration. This includes:
- Articles of Incorporation: Based on the details you provided, we’ll create this foundational document for your company.
- Company Seal (Inkan): We’ll order your company seal, which is required for official company documents in Japan.
- Once the documents are ready, we’ll handle the official filing with the Legal Affairs Bureau, ensuring that everything meets Japanese legal requirements. We’ll provide you with updates along the way.

Step 4: Registration Completion
- Once the Legal Affairs Bureau approves your registration, we’ll provide you with all necessary documentation to confirm that your company is officially established.
- If your business requires additional permits or licenses, we can guide you through those next steps as well and refer you to other specialists if needed.

With just a completed checklist and a capital transfer, you can leave the rest to us. We’re here to make sure every step of your company registration is professionally managed and legally compliant.
